On the Veelerweg, on the way to the Meiënweg, you pass the Engelkensbrug over the Ruiten A. From the bridge, the old walking, cycling bridge can be seen to your right. In 1924, this was the only connection between Veele and Wessinghuizen. Only in 1957 was this new bridge commissioned. The original bridge was named after formerly the mayor of Winschoten, who owned 'one farm house' here at Wessinghuizen.
