Road trip through Westerkwartier and around the Lauwersmeer
From an exciting road trip through the multifaceted Westerkwartier, on day two you continue by following the river De Lauwers to what used to be the Lauwers Sea.
Road trip II consists of the following car puzzle routes:
- Zuidelijk Westerkwartier, with its beautiful estates, mounds, and intimate peat moss landscapes.
- From Lauwers to Wad: journey around the beautiful Lauwersmeer natural reserve.
Day I: Leek - Oldehove (ca. 65 km)
Day II: Lauwerzijl - Houwerzijl (ca. 78 km)

Tips for camping places along the routes, suitable for (small) campervans:
- Hayema Heerd, Oldehove
- Camping Het Knooppunt, Nuis-Niebert
- Camping De Rousant, Zoutkamp
- It Tun-Hus, Anjum
In the route description, you will find tips for nice places to get out and have a walk, enjoy drinks on the terrace, or have a bite to eat.

- After your order, you’ll receive a confirmation e-mail with a link.
- Via the link, you can download the introductory information.
- At the starting locations of day I and day II you will receive your starting package, which contains the route-navigation and lots of information about the route and region that you’ll be driving in.
- For both day I and day II, you can order a delicious lunch package filled with products from the region. You will receive your lunch package at the starting locations along with your route book.
When purchasing the basic package for a campervan road trip you will receive the following:
- detailed directions for two car puzzle tours in luxury and convenient edition
- description for special points
- suggestions for excursions and motorhome campsites for a stopover
- ask to win prizes
- car bingo and puzzles for the kids
(Price basic package is per camper).

When purchasing the Luxury package you will receive the following:
- everything from the basic package
- lunch packed with products from the region (order at least two days in advance)
- snack for the road.
