Car puzzle tour The Hogeland
A Groningen car puzzle tour where you can marvel at Het Hogeland of Groningen, and encounter all kinds of places with a special story along the way. You drive past stately castles, through picturesque villages and over age-old mounds. Count the number of medieval churches you encounter on the way and marvel at the vast expanse and impressive cloudscapes. The Hogeland is a landscape you can experience in 360º. Cosy and great fun to do!
The car puzzle tour can be done all year round, on any day you like. We want to prevent it from getting too busy at the various locations where you can stop for a while. Therefore, a limit has been set on the number of bookings per day. When the maximum number of bookings is reached, this will be mentioned. You can always look forward to another day.
Ride the route with the route book on your lap, or with the route app
You can ride the Het Hogeland route 'with route book on your lap', or with the LocalGroningen route app. The route book contains the route description with km markings and direction arrows. Some game and puzzle sheets have been added; perhaps fun for children in the back seat.
The LocalGroningen route app provides the route using navigation. Information about the points is offered in short text blocks as well as in various audio clips. You can choose whether or not to participate in quiz questions.

When purchasing the Luxury package for a LocalGroningen car puzzle route, you will receive the following:
- everything from the basic package
- richly filled lunch with many products directly from the region (order 2 days in advance)

(Price per two persons. Additional price for extra persons from € 12,50 pp for children; additional price for adults is € 17,50 pp).

- Start location: Hayema Heerd, at Oldehove.
- Final location: Baflo
- Length: approx. 65 km.
- Duration: approx. 3.5 - 4 hours, depending on the number of stops
- Available: every day of the week*
- Information via audio clips and text blocks in the app
- En route: tips for a terrace, nice gallery, museum, walking route, etc. (* Opening hours of terraces, museums, visitor centres differ).

Catering during the car puzzle tour
When booking the car puzzle tour, you can include a packed lunch. The ingredients for the packed lunch come from local producers. The packed lunch will be handed over at the starting location, and you can enjoy it together en route.
