Carla van der Ven is the owner of Atelier De Lachende Kip. The studio is an inspiring place where people learn to create playfully: painting, spatial work, modelling. Colour and fun are what drive Van der Ven. The chicken plays a big role in making art. The chicken is placed in a human environment, and are always in motion. Besides paintings, Van de Ven also makes memorial houses with an object that recalls, for example, a loved one.
