On 3 October 1956, the Border Office was officially inaugurated as the Central Customs Post. Until the Schengen Agreement 1993, the Border Office served. After that, the building stood empty and in a dilapidated state for years, until recently. The Border Office has been completely restored and now serves as a special meeting place that can be rented.
