On the left, the old Reformed church of Sellingen. The early-Gothic church was built in about 1300, with a predecessor of even older date presumably. The roof of the church is covered with hollow and convex tiles, a medieval method of roofing. This roofing can still be seen at two other churches in Groningen (Kerkje Marsum, and the tower church in Winsum).
