Historie
The Stelmakerij in Sellingen is one of the oldest (still existing) buildings in Sellingen; the original supporting structure of trusses dates from 1697. The building itself was built around 1850. Its original function was as an inn, then until 1962 the building was used as an assembly shop for making farm wagons and wooden tools. Today, it houses the Regional History Centre with an exhibition space on the history of Westerwolde.
