Historie
After about 1 km on the right, the former country estate Saaksumborg can be found. Around the buitenplaats it sometimes seemed like a pigeon house. No wonder; the path from Eerumerweg was also known as "t Vrijersloandje , also called Sikkensloandje". The land is now flat, levelled in the 1970s, and in use as a field. From the air, the old double enclosure of 1828 is still discernible through shades of colour. The site has high archaeological value.
