Historie

In this schoolhouse, the Jewish children of Leek were taught the Jewish religion and the Hebrew language. After the war, the small building was used as a shed. In 1995, the small schoolhouse was restored and opened as a museum and monument in memory of Leek's Jewish community. On the stone plaque on the outside wall are engraved the names of all the Jewish inhabitants of Leek who were deported and murdered during the Second World War.
