The White Church was built in 1739 and restored in 2002. The little church is famous for its family van der Sluis vault. The founder of this vault is Jan Alles van der Sluis (1787-1863); a successful entrepreneur who was important at the time when the nobility of Beetsterzwaag owned most of the land. At the age of 73, Jan Alles founded a burial vault in which all his descendants could find a resting place in a straight line. Subsequent generations have always managed the burial vault. In 1924, a foundation was established to manage the Van der Sluis family grave. In 1925, a tombstone with a family genealogy was placed at the crypt. Now the church is used for various purposes, in addition to church services, for parties, cultural activities and as a B&B for so-called Holy Nights.
