Historie
The Petruskerk was built in the 13th century on a mound on the western edge of Woldendorp. In the centuries that followed, part of the church was demolished, leaving a simple rectangular church. The church tower was demolished in 1855 and replaced by a narrow bay with a trefoil. The old tower is still visible on old maps. During and at the end of WW2, the church was considerably damaged. After the war, the church was restored. There are still frescoes from the 14th and 15th centuries in the church.
